Storyboard

'Establishing shot'  the camera follows the tennis ball to the
other side of the court

This is a story board of shots in the 1 minute excerpt of the video which we will be recreating.  A story board is important during the filming of a video because it acts as a visual guide as to what actually needs to be filmed.  Using a story board to recreate the video will be especially helpful in the process of filming and editing, because it will ensure accuracy in terms of; shot types, angles, movement, timing etc.  We will use a print out of the story board during filming, as it's quick and easy; however if we are unsure as to a camera movement, we can watch the video on youtube using a smartphone.  This is a good second alternative to ensure accuracy, however the storyboard is much simpler and more convenient to use.
When creating my own video, a storyboard is essential, as there will be no 'original' video to watch to fall back on as everything will be from scratch.  Therefore, I will have to ensure that I have written, in detail, the camera movements and timings, shot types etc for each shot
